Our team, led by Dr. Michael Anthony, dedicates ourselves to helping pets and their families. We believe that our patients deserve the very best veterinary care and strive to provide excellent service to the owners who love them.
Dr. Michael Anthony
Dr. Michael Anthony is the proud owner of Haddon Vet. He has been a life-long lover of animals and grew up outside Washington, DC in a house where there were pets of all shapes and sizes. These pets became such an important part of his childhood, that he made the decision in college to devote his life to their care and well-being. He graduated from Dartmouth College cum laude with a degree in psychology and then went to the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine where he graduated with honors with an emphasis in small animals.
His career has taken him across South Jersey and he has worked in general and emergency practices over Camden, Gloucester, and Ocean Counties. His career took a different turn in 2009 when he began to work at a practice that specialized in integrative medicine. He learned about chiropractic, herbal, and homeopathic medicine, and decided to pursue a certification in veterinary acupuncture. He completed his training in 2012 and has been practicing integrative medicine since. Besides acupuncture, Dr. Anthony also is proficient in chiropractic treatments, herbal medicine, and using food as medicine with an emphasis on Chinese modalities of healing. He is excited to add these treatments for the patients of Haddon Vet.
In his free time, Dr. Anthony is an avid runner, reader, and a lover of movies. He also enjoys playing soccer and all other sports with his two very active sons. He currently has one cat and three dogs that also keep him busy!
Dr. Lauren Stevenson
After receiving her bachelor’s in marine biology and biology from Stockton College (now Stockton University) she received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from St. George’s University. She has been in the field since she was 16 years old starting as a tech assistant, working her way up to vet technician and then becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Stevenson has worked in many practices in the Tri-state area both as an associate veterinarian as well as a relief veterinarian. She is especially interested in dermatology and behavioral medicine.
Dr. Stevenson (aka Dr. Lauren) lives in Cherry Hill, NJ with her husband Frank, dogs Shih Tzu/Jack Russel mix “Hope” and French bulldog “Chubbs”. When she’s not caring for small animals, Dr. Lauren likes to travel and stay fit lifting weights and doing kickboxing. She has had many experiences practicing veterinary medicine in countries less fortunate than our own, such as Grenada and Brazil and has worked with multiple rescues.
Dr. Lauren is very down-to-earth–which is fitting since she often examines patients down on the exam room floor. She wants her patients to feel comfortable and make the exam room as non-threatening as possible. She also wants her patient’s humans to be at ease. “My goal is to have an owner walk out with more confidence about their pet’s care by knowing their pet will be treated like family.”
